Overmolding process of thermoplastic materials
The rising demand for new items concerning the fashion industry, has allowed our company to develop new technologies for covering metal and plastic components with leather, fabric and plastic coating and this has started new production paths.
For the realization of plastic coatings we use the overmolding process (also known as insert moulding) which provides for the fusion of thermoplastic and thermosetting materials into a high strength steel mould with inside plastic elements or metal.

The insert moulding is used in:
- aesthetic requirements (e.g. two different colors or finishing with new material)
- sealing requirements (e.g. resistance to pressure)
- performance requirements (e.g. resistance to specific chemicals substances).
